When: A day or two after Apocalypse has been dealt with.
What: X's moving into the mansion and settling in.

X-23 stood on the front steps of the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters,the strap of a single duffel bag slung over her right shoulder while the bag itself hung behind her back and off to her side. She was still unsure that her being here was safe for the others, but Logan had reminded her she'd killed Madame Hydra herself, which put HYDRA down at least for a time, and SHIELD thought X herself to be dead, all of which meant that Xavier's was the safest place on Earth for her. She had reluctantly agreed, wary still for the safety of the other residents should anyone at all still be looking for her.
She knocked on the door, the metal-the adamantium- on her bones causing her knock to resound louder throughout the mansion than a normal person's knock and waited for somebody to open the door.
The young clone wondered aloud to herself, "Is this really as safe as Logan says? Can I really trust that SHIELD thinks I'm dead and Hydra's temporarily down, if not finished forever?" Her life would have been so much simpler, so much better, if Logan had known earlier about everything that had been done to her. She could have had a normal childhood and grown up properly instead of being treated as a weapon and constantly trained and taught and tested and poked and prodded at. She was a person, not a weapon, even if she was just beginning to realize it.
She wondered silently how different her life could have been had Logan known about HYDRA's plan for and success with her creation. But he hadn't and her life wasn't different and she had to deal. At long last she was safe, and finally able to build herself a home and a family.
The only things she owned-beyond the clothes on her back- and had in her duffel bag were a few full outfit change of clothes and some non-perishable food items and sealed water bottles.
